BJJ just received a major moment of mainstream recognition this week, as King Charles III visited the Roger Gracie Academy headquarters in London.
The visit marked the British Royal Family’s first public engagement centered around Jiu-Jitsu and highlighted the work of Reorg, a charity that uses the sport to support military personnel and emergency service workers.
The connection was made through Reorg founder Sam Sheriff, the head of Royal Marines Unarmed Combat and the first Royal Marine Commando to earn a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
